You
are cordially invited to join us for
our August luncheon
program featuring
San
Francisco Chronicle columnist and noted author,
Carl
Nolte
speaking
on
" The
Newspapering Life"
|
|
|
|
Columnist Carl
Nolte has "done everything at the Chronicle except run
it"! He's been an editor, photographer, reporter and is
currently a well-read Sunday columnist. The newspaper job
has provided him with plenty of opportunity for travel (Normandy, Japan,
Afghanistan) and once-in-a-lifetime experiences (piloting a merchant
ship into SF Bay and joining combat forces in Iraq).
Mr. Nolte will
discuss how newspapers continue to contribute to the vitality of a
democracy and how reporters and newspapers, rather than
Internet news sites and bloggers, enhance the
citizen's understanding of our world.
He is the author
of several books including:
and we look
forward to having him as our August luncheon speaker. Please join
us.
